How to become a sports manager?

Step 1
Take any stream in 10+ 2

Any stream at the 10+2 level will suffice for pursuing undergraduate courses in any management specialisation. But commerce will always be the best option.


Step 2
Take a Bachelors Degree in sports management

Bachelor's Degree in Sports management is a 3 year undergraduate program . Only a few institutes provide core sports management course at the UG level. You can either go for a degree in any subject or exclusive management degrees like BBA/BBM/BMS and specialise in sports management at the PG level.

One year Diploma in sports management is available directly after 10+2.

Step 3
Take a Masters in Sports Management

After completing a UG degree in any field, you can specialise in Sports Management. Duration of this program is usually 2 years. Masters in Sports Management(MSM) & MBA in Sports Management are the popular courses in this field.


Note: PG Diploma in Sports Management

Graduation in any stream in the minimum requirement for a PG Diploma in Sports Management. Duration of these programs is usually one year.
