As a person specialised in cultural studies, you will be engaging in interdisciplinary research and studies on the political dynamics of the contemporary culture, its historical foundations, traits, conflicts, and contingencies.

Students who have taken any stream in plus two are eligible for admission to cultural / religious studies course. But humanities is a better choice.
There is no common course offered at the UG level in this area in india. Someone who is interested to do higher studies in this field can do a bachelors degree, preferably in a social science and Humanities specialisation, and then go for a masters in Cultural /Religious Studies (MA Cultural /Religious studies).
After completing the UG in any specialisation, you can go for an MA in Cultural/Religious Studies. These are 2 year programs which are available only in a few institutions across India.
Mphil and PhD requirements vary from college to college. Few institutes ask for work experience as well.
